CONTROLS
DESCRIPTION
There are two groups of knobs on this bass. With the bass held in the playing position, there are three smaller knobs closest to the lower edge of the body. From the lower bout towards the neck they are treble boost/cut, mid boost/cut, and bass boost/cut. The other group of knobs are closer to bridge. The knob closest to the input jack is the pickup balancer, and the knob closest to the neck is the volume knob. When the mid-range knob is down, the mid boost peak is at 800hz, when the knob is pulled up, the mid boost peak is at 400hz.

FREQUENCY RESPONSE
DESCRIPTION
The bass boost/cut frequency curve has a peak at about 20 Hz, the variable width becomes smaller as it goes to the high range, and the variable width becomes zero at around 3000 Hz. The variable range of the peak frequency is approximately ±20 dB. The treble boost/cut frequency curve draws a curve with a peak at around 10000 Hz and zero variable range around 100 Hz. The variable range of the peak frequency is approximately ±20 dB. The mid-boost/cut frequency curve creates a bell-shaped curve that peaks at a specific frequency, and the variable range becomes zero around 20 Hz and around 10,000 Hz. The frequency peak can be switched between 800 and 400 Hz. The variable range of the peak frequency is approximately ±15 dB.

Features

Figured Maple body
The GVB1006's beautiful selected Figured Maple top, on a comfortably arched Alder body.

Aguilar® OBP-3 preamp
The Aguilar OBP-3 3-band EQ offers superior flexibility. It provides ±18dB of cut/boost at 40Hz, ±16dB of cut/boost at either 400Hz or 800Hz and ±16dB of treble cut/boost at 6.5 kHz. The mid frequency can be set to 400Hz or 800Hz by push/pull switch, both considered very important and useful frequencies for the bass.

MR-4 bridge
The Mono-Rail Bridge is the ultimate in string isolation for bass. Each saddle is independently and securely locked down to the body for maximum vibration transfer and no interference. One screw controls the height of each saddle for easy adjustment.
