Die From Sorrow
In 2018, the Chinese metal band, DIE FROM SORROW, traveled to Germany to participate in the international finals of the Metal Battle Competition and ended up winning the world championship, becoming the first Chinese band in history to do so. They played an important role in the promotion of melodic metal music in China and went on to inspire many other bands and musicians there.
Martin Liu
Martin is one of the founding members and the guitarist/vocalist of DIE FROM SORROW. He discovered his passion for rock music during high school, influenced by his friends. In his college years, he formed the band DIE FROM SORROW with Zhang Ruixin and embarked on his career as a professional musician. As the leader of the band, Martin is the bands driving force on stage, energizing crowds and serving as the conduit between the band and its audience. Additionally, His years of experience plays an important role in guiding the band’s direction of development, overall musical style, and songwriting.

Ruixin Zhang
Ruixin, a former trumpet player and comic artist, is one of the founding members of DIE FROM SORROW alongside Martin Liu. He discovered his passion for the guitar at 17 and co-founded DIE FROM SORROW with Martin during college. Ruixin possesses excellent musical sensibilities and a strong creative drive, evident in his onstage performance. He is a key contributor to the band's songwriting and actively shapes the band's overall musical style, thanks to his superb artistic perception and creativity.

Shengjun Gu
Shengjun, born in Beijing, began playing the bass at 19. Influenced by bands like Slayer and Metallica from a young age, he has been playing in various bands as a vocalist and bassist. Shengjun joined DIE FROM SORROW in December 2014, bringing his experience to the group and significantly enhancing their sound. He embodies the spirit of rock and those familiar with his work know how he approaches his music with passion and dedication.
