CONTROLS
DESCRIPTION
With the bass held in the playing position, there are three small knobs closest to the lower edge of the body. Directionally, from the lower bout towards the neck, these knobs are treble boost/cut, mid boost/cut, and bass boost/cut. There are two larger knobs above these, closer to the bridge. The knob closest to the neck controls volume, and the knob next to it is the pickup balancer control. The volume knob can be pulled to Single Coil mode. There is a 3-way voice selector switch next to the balancer knob. When the switch is in neck position, Voice 1 is engaged. When the switch is in center position, Voice 2 (Mid Contour) is engaged. When the switch is in bridge position, Voice 2 is engaged.

FREQUENCY RESPONSE
DESCRIPTION
The bass boost/cut frequency curve has a peak at 55 Hz, the variable width decreases toward the high range, and the variable width becomes zero at about 1,000 Hz. The variable range becomes slightly larger in the high range at around 1,000 Hz, but it becomes zero again near 7,000 Hz. The variable range of the peak frequency is approximately ±12 dB. The treble boost/cut frequency curve draws a mountain-shaped curve with a peak at around 7,500 Hz and zero variable width around 400 Hz. The variable range becomes slightly larger in the row range at around 400 Hz, but it becomes zero again near 70 Hz. The variable range of the peak frequency is approximately ±10.4 dB. The mid-boost/cut frequency curve creates a mountain-shaped curve with a peak around 630 Hz, and the variable width becomes zero near 20 Hz and around 7,000 Hz. The variable range of the peak frequency is approximately ±9 dB.

Multi scale
The multi scale construction equalizes tension of each string and it helps to create a more "alive", open tone. But the design also improves player comfort. The multi scale construction ergonomically coordinates with the way a player's hand angles as it moves up and down the neck, facilitating quick, comfortable playing action.
RATIO® Machine Heads by Graph Tech® Guitar Labs
With the new RATIO® for bass, each string has its own specific gear ratio, so that every string reacts the same to the turn of a machine head.
4 string bass is a gear of 36:1, 30:1, 20:1, and 18:1 for the E,A,D, and G string, respectively.
This system has created an even tuning experience that assures you that once you know what it feels like to tune one string, you will know what it will feel like to tune the rest of the strings.
