Valère Coignet

Valère Coignet is a French guitarist whose music lies at the crossroads of progressive metal, modern guitar and cinematic soundscapes. A longtime musician, he has developed an expressive and technical style centered around 7 string guitars and immersive orchestration.
In 2019, he released his debut EP, Just a Step Away, an instrumental project combining progressive metal, modern riffs and orchestral textures. He also contributed to a United Guitars album, sharing lead guitar duties with Nick Johnston and Max Ostro.
Alongside his work as a musician, Valère is an experienced educator. He has contributed several times to the instructional section of Guitare Xtreme Magazine and performed as the second guitarist of The Electric Barock Quartet alongside Alex Cordo. His work also includes masterclasses, showcases and specialized content focused on modern guitar.
