BIOGRAPHY

Cihan Tanrıverdi is a solo artist from Istanbul, Turkey. Being a new wave guitarist, he composes and produces instrumental Progressive Rock and Metal. He has played guitar for many singers and bands from Turkey, including Melek Mosso, Peyk, Ozbi, Kesmeseker, Barabar, Ahmet Aslan Band Project, Apolas Lermi, Selcuk Balci, Yesim Salkim, Kubaba, Emre Sertkaya etc. Also a studio musician, he has played guitar on many movie and TV series scores.

Born in Pforzheim, Germany on July 30th, 1993, Cihan lives in İstanbul since he was 5 years old. He started playing guitar at the age of 9. He completed his musical education at Kocaeli University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Modern Music. He is doing his masters degree in Istanbul Okan University Conservatory Music Department.

After building his own home studio at age 20, he started to record his musicial ideas he accumulated for years. His debut album "MAYRANUS" was released by Kalan Music. 20 other musicians accompanied him in this album. He performed a duet with the world-famous Turkish fretless guitar player Erkan Ogur. This album was a progressive rock album with Anatolian motifs. He arranged the folk songs of legendary abdals such as Neset Ertas and Asik Veysel.

He released a new EP, "MIND" in modern Progressive Rock-Metal style, in 2020. Recorded and mixed in Istanbul, this work was mastered by Ermin Hamidovic in Australia.
He released his new single "Butterfly", a modern Progressive Rock-Metal song with Anatolian themes, in February 2021.
