CONTROLS
DESCRIPTION
With the bass held in the playing position, you'll find a set of stacked knobs and a mini switch near the input jack at the end of the body. The top knob of the stacked pair (closest to the bottom edge of the body) controls the treble boost/cut, while the bottom knob adjusts the bass boost/cut. The knob next to the mini switch is the mid boost/cut. Along the lower edge of the body, the knob nearest the neck is the volume knob, and the knob between the volume and the stacked knobs controls the pickup blend. Pulling the volume knob activates single-coil mode. A 3-way voice selector switch is located next to the mid boost/cut knob. When the switch is in the neck position, Voice 1 is engaged. In the center position, Voice 2 (Mid Contour) is activated. The bridge position also engages Voice 2.

FREQUENCY RESPONSE
DESCRIPTION
The bass boost/cut frequency curve has a peak at 55 Hz, the variable width decreases toward the high range, and the variable width becomes zero at about 1,000 Hz. The variable range becomes slightly larger in the high range at around 1,000 Hz, but it becomes zero again near 7,000 Hz. The variable range of the peak frequency is approximately ±12 dB. The treble boost/cut frequency curve draws a mountain-shaped curve with a peak at around 7,500 Hz and zero variable width around 400 Hz. The variable range becomes slightly larger in the row range at around 400 Hz, but it becomes zero again near 70 Hz. The variable range of the peak frequency is approximately ±10.4 dB. The mid-boost/cut frequency curve creates a mountain-shaped curve with a peak around 630 Hz, and the variable width becomes zero near 20 Hz and around 7,000 Hz. The variable range of the peak frequency is approximately ±9 dB.

Features

Ergonomic body design
The EHB’s headless construction and specially designed body enable the player to maintain a similar playing position whether seated or standing.

Slanted body back
The top half of the back of the body is slanted which allows the bass to rest slightly closer to the player’s body for better control and a more ergonomic feel.

Pale Moon Ebony top / Ash body
The Pale Moon Ebony top displays a rich, beautiful wood grain, and the Ash body delivers a pleasant brightness with rich sustain.

Fishman® Fluence™ pickups
These Fishman® Fluence™ pickups are the first for bass to feature stainless covers. These unique pickups deliver Fluence Multi-Voice performance, impressive dynamic range, and outstanding articulation with no extraneous noise.

Fishman® 3-band EQ w/Single Coil Mode switch (push/pull), 3-way Voice Select switch
This new EQ was developed by Fishman® for Ibanez and is built around a newly added mid control. The center frequency for the mid control is 630Hz.
The Single Coil Mode switch adds even more tonal flexibility to pickups.
The Voice Selector switch offers players a wide palette of sounds to cover all playing styles.
Voice 1 (Passive): Classic, fat and round
Voice 2 (Active): Full frequency, full dynamics
Voice 2 (Active with mid contour): Funk, Hi-Fi scooped
Single Coil Mode: Same voices as above but with a narrower magnetic field

Ibanez custom headpieces
Rugged yet light-weight Ibanez custom headpieces enable strings to be easily set and released by a hex wrench from the back side.

Comfortably rounded body edge, Chambered body
Its contoured, ergonomic design and chambered body make for a lightweight, well-balanced, and comfortable instrument that’s excellent for long sets or practice session.

Scooped cut on the body back
There is extra carving on the back of the body behind the lower horn for easier upper fret access.

9pc Panga Panga/Walnut neck w/Graphite reinforcement rods
The 9-piece Panga Panga/Walnut neck provides superior note attack, tight lows and increased sustain with the Panga Panga fretboard.

MR5HS mono rail bridge w/string spacing adjustable saddles
The MR5HS bridge is designed especially for the EHB basses and features wide intonation range. Each bridge piece is independently and securely attached to the body for maximum vibration transfer, and the saddles are adjustable for string spacing +/-1.5mm, answering every bassist’s individual string spacing demands, no matter what playing style. Teflon washers are used on each tuner for a smooth tuning action.

Schaller S-Locks strap pins and Neutrik locking jack
Schaller S-Lock strap lock pins and a Neutrik locking jack hold the strap and cable securely.

Detachable Finger ramp
A detachable Finger ramp is included for comfortable finger picking.

Panga Panga fretboard
Panga Panga features a beautiful wood grain which produces a tight low and mid range, along with a sharp attack on high end.

Luminescent side dot inlays
The luminescent side dot position marks make it easy for players to see fretboard position marks when performing on dark stages.
