Marty Young

Marty Young was born in Taipei, Taiwan, He is a guitarist and the Leader of Marty Band.

Like many shred guitar players, He's influenced by great guitarists like Van Halen, Paul Gilbert, Gary Moore, Marty Friedman, Steve Vai...and many others.

He issued the first solo album in 2010, which was considered the first electric guitar album ever released in Taiwan.

In the past years, he was invited to play with many great rock musicians on stage, such as Michael Angelo, Stuart Hamm, Derek Sherinian, Marty Friedman, Richie Kotzen, Neil Zaza... in Taiwan.
and some of them also featured in Marty's solo album. they were Stuart Hamm, Derek Sherinian and Neil Zaza.

As a guitarist, he owns many #1 records in Taiwan so far,and won «Best player of the year» of 2010 Taiwan Golden Indie Music Award.

Lately, he recruited three outstanding members and formed a new rock band "Marty Band" ., Debut album is scheduled to be released in May 2015, It is something splendid that worth waiting for !
