The core of this guitar’s tone, as well as its visual centerpiece, is a stunning Spalted Maple fretboard displaying an intense grainy pattern, reminiscent of a chaotic dust storm or a nebulous cloud of ash. The fretboard features stainless steel frets and stands in stark contrast to the body and headstock’s almost tropical forest-like appearance. This finish bounces between shades of green, yellow, orange, and grey and brings an even more organic feel to this fantastic piece of musical craftsmanship. The back of the instrument reflects a clear and surprising reversal of the front’s color scheme. The 3pc Wenge/Purpleheart neck construction and the White Ash body deliver a unique, bright tonal character. From every aspect, this one-of-a-kind instrument embodies the absolute pinnacle of what makes the RG the ultimate shredder’s guitar.

TAP INTO YOUR SOUND

This RG offers an electronics package that goes one step beyond the traditional HSH configuration with a 3-way switch. On top of this already versatile setup, a coil tap switch is also included, allowing for a total of six unique and distinctive sounds, all within a single instrument.

SPALTED MAPLE FRETBOARD

Contributing an enticing and exotic character to the instrument, the Spalted Maple fretboard displays a dynamic and kinetic grain pattern that creates an undeniable aesthetic center. The top wood and finish, while entrancing, are slightly muted, allowing the fingerboard to take the center stage spotlight.

BEYOND A BASIC BURL

Camphor Burl is prized for its rarity and its highly stable nature, an unusual characteristic for most burls. The overall hardiness of this wood means the figuring is very even and consistent throughout the grain structure. This unique burling pattern, combined with the striking multi-color finish, affords a look that few instruments can match.
