Julia C. Pfänder was born 1994 in southern Germany where she started her musical career at the age of twelve by learning classical double bass.
Soon she played in the best youth orchestras of Bavaria and Germany, like the Bavarian Youth Orchestra, the New Philharmonics Munic and the National Youth Orchestra of Germany. Within the third she toured through Europe and China under famous conductors like Markus Stenz, Ulf Schirmer, Mario Venzago, Bruno Weil and together with the Berlin Philharmonics under Sir Simon Rattle. In 2012 she was invited to the Penderecki-
Academy in Nordrhein-Westfalen.
Since 2013 she studies double bass in the class of Prof. Günter Holzhausen at the HMT Munich, and since 2014 also school-music. Before she became a student in music she was a scholarship-student in Augsburg for three years and was taught by Franz Mayr-Musiol.
Since 2013 Julia Pfänder has a scholarship at "Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now" Augsburg.
When she startet studying classical music, Julia soon found her love for the electric Bass.
Within three years she played with different bands at many Festivals (Feuertanz, Rockharz, EHN, Wacken,...)
Since 2017 Julia is a member of the Lord of the Lost Ensemble, where she can combine her classical education with rock-metal music.
Due to her experiences in classical music and education she also likes to be booked for double bass workshops.
