Matthias Kirchgessner aka Church
(Live- and Studioguitarist, Soloartist, Crossing Borders, Meg Pfeiffer- Band)

Matthias is a professional guitarist and guitar teacher for 25 years now.
He started playing classical guitar when he was 10 years old.

He received his first electric-guitar, when he was 13 years old. At the age of 17 he bought his first Ibanez-Model (a Paul Gilbert PGM) and since then never played any other brand.

He studied Rock-, Pop- and Jazz-Guitar at the Future Music School Aschaffenburg in 1993/94. His graduation in Professional Programm was in 1994.

He played about 2000 live concerts and participated in many studio productions i.a. for Nevio, Haggard, Lou Bega, Paul Di`Anno (Ex Iron-Maiden), Dorfrocker, ...

Awards:

Golden disc with Nevio in 2007.

Viva Comet with Nevio in 2007 for the Best Newcomer National.

Sixfold honored at the German Rock- an Pop award 2009 with the Steffi Mira Band.

Up to date his Soloalbum "Tears of God" was judged "best album oft he month" in January 2016 by the german magazine Gitarre & Bass.

The new album "The Devil's Smile" will be released at the end of summer 2017.
